Pet Services at Brewers Bridge Vet

At Brewers Bridge Veterinary Care, we perform a wide variety of services to help you take care of your pet. Read below to learn more about some of the services we offer.

Comprehensive Physical Exams

Whether here for a healthy or sick visit, this is the best time to let us know of any changes you have noticed at home, including appetite, behavior, eliminations or weight change.  We will then complete a thorough examination on your pet from head to tail.  This allows us to address any changes and make the best recommendations for care of your pet.  A wellness examination is recommended at least once a year, and even more frequently as your pet gets older.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are very important to help prevent many illnesses in cats and dogs. However, not every vaccine available is recommended for every pet. Some factors to consider include age, medical history, environment, travel habits and lifestyle. We take pride in working very closely with you to develop a vaccine protocol specific for your pet.

Laboratory Testing

BBVC performs numerous types of laboratory tests either on premises or with an outside lab and with timely results. This includes blood tests, fecal analysis, urinalysis, microscopic exam of skin or ear debris, and more.

X-Rays

Pets can often have an illness or injury that may not be seen on the outside. With our in-house x-ray machine, we can better evaluate a bone, joint or internal organ to find the problem and determine an appropriate treatment plan.

Ultrasound

An ultrasound allows us to look at your pet’s abdominal organs in a non-invasive, safe way. It is a helpful tool for many situations, including vomiting or diarrhea, pregnancy, weight loss, urinary issues, and many more. Dr. Gaddy has received special training in performing abdominal ultrasonography in dogs and cats.

Dental Care

During your pet’s comprehensive physical exam, an oral

evaluation is always performed. From there, we can create a dental health plan specific to your pet’s needs. This may include at home dental care or a dental cleaning and polishing under anesthesia.

Puppy/Kitten Care

Owning a new puppy or kitten is exciting and fun, but is also a large responsibility. We are here to help you and will discuss all aspects of raising your new pet during your visits. We also cater a vaccination and wellness plan specific to your pet’s needs and lifestyle. This may include starting medication against intestinal parasites, heartworm, fleas and ticks.

Geriatric Care

As your pet gets older, changes to their health can happen more abruptly. This is why we recommend physical examinations at least twice a year. During these visits, we will discuss any changes you may have noticed in your pet, including activity level, mobility, weight, personality, etc. We may recommend blood tests, changes in their diet, supplements or medications to help support them through their golden years. Call us today to discuss how we may be able formulate a senior wellness plan specific to your

pet’s needs.
